"Without friends no one would choose to live, though he had all other goods."
Surveys taken about school life show that the thing which marks the school out for our pupils is the spirit of friendship - their friendships with one another and the mutually respectful and warm relationships between pupils and teachers. There is something very special about seeing pupils of all ages in the same school, each new phase of school offering new experiences and challenges, yet also retaining that natural friendliness across age and gender, which is both a reflection of life in the family and in society, and something which enhances the sociability of all pupils.
Friendship is the foundation of a happy life. Bullying and unkindness, whilst never absent in any school, are dealt with firmly, sensitively and swiftly. Through tolerance, working together and respecting our differences, boys and girls make friendships for life, building confidence and comradeship and assisting the learning process.
