The Cathedral School has had an outstanding tradition for cricket throughout its history. It is one of the three major boys' sports and competitive fixtures are played in the Summer term. The school considers itself one of the top cricketing schools in South Wales; victories in many County Championships throughout the years, would confirm this statement.
Many pupils represent their County at various levels, with an enviable number progressing to play for Wales, the West of England and England U17.
The School has an exceptionally fine cricket square, very well used by our pupils and other establishments including the MCC, a junior square, indoor and outdoor nets. Coaching at the School caters for players of all standards and all pupils have an opportunity to represent their school. Links with local clubs also enhance the standard of the game at the Cathedral School.
