On Wednesday evening, we were delighted to host the third Aspire To... event focusing on the Creative Arts. We welcomed 20 professionals from areas ranging from cinematography, interior design, architecture, animation, journalism, art conservation, music production, 3D design and graphic design, giving our Year 10 to 13 students and their parents valuable insights into the incredible range of careers possible within the world of Creative Arts along with an ideal networking opportunity. We were also incredibly fortunate to have presenters from leading educational institutions such as the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, The National Museum of Wales and Cardiff University.
We were thrilled to be joined by Old Llandavians – Russell Bailey (1977-1982), Ben Payne (2005-2018), Will Langley (2013- 2015), Ellen Woolf (2013-2018), Jenna Tallant (2010-2021) and Jessica Holmes (2012-2017) – who really enjoyed their return and kindly shared their experiences of university life, building portfolios and developing their chosen careers. Our Aspire To… programme aims to develop ideas and provide information on a wide range of vocational areas, including Business and Finance, Law and IT, Engineering, Biomedical, Healthcare and Sports Sciences, Environmental protection, the Creative Arts and Modern Languages. A very big thank you to all of the parents and Old Llandavians for helping to make Wednesday evening such a big success!
