Our Admissions Office is open and our Registrar, Ms Deborah Whitehouse is available to talk to you, explain our entrance procedures and chat through how The Cathedral School might suit you as a family registrar@cathedral-school.co.uk
Before you visit us, we hope our Virtual Visits page will give you an insight into life at The Cathedral School. The page features an interactive map of the school campus, an introduction to our teachers, current parent experiences, school films and links to relevant areas of our website.
The Cathedral School offers a range of scholarships including Academic, Music and Sport for pupils joining Year 7 and Year 12. The Cardiff Rugby Scholarship was launched in September 2021 for Year 12 entry. Following our partnership with the Cardiff Rugby Academy programme, we are able to offer up to 100% funding for talented rugby players, recommended by Cardiff Rugby, who require that level of funding to attend the School.
There is no need to apply for an Academic Scholarship in Year 7 as the entrance test results are used to identify pupils who will be considered further for these awards. Applications are necessary for Year 12 Academic Scholarships.
In addition, The Cathedral School provides a small number of financial bursaries each year, which are means tested, based on the Independent Schools Bursar Association structure (ISBA). For Year 7 we invite applications for one of three Foundation Bursaries which may be up to 100% of fees.
Further information and guidance on Bursaries and Scholarships for Year 7 and 12 Entry can be found below or by contacting the Registrar, Ms Deborah Whitehouse on 029 2083 8504 or registrar@cathedral-school.co.uk
