Installation of Father Cann

On Monday we celebrated Holy Cross Day with School Eucharists for Junior and Senior pupils, and a special assembly for the Infants. Holy Cross Day marks the anniversary of the dedication of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem on 14 September in the year 325, over the place where Christ was crucified. Bishop John Kirkham and Canon Brendan Clover of the Woodard Corporation visited us and commissioned Fr Christopher as our school chaplain. We welcomed various diocesan dignitaries later in the morning to Fr Christopher's formal installation in the Chapel, including the Assistant Bishop of Llandaff, the Dean of Llandaff, the Principal of St Michael's College Llandaff, the Archdeacon of Llandaff and other local clergy. A big ‘thank you' to the musicians, readers, caterers and others who made these services go so well... and most of all to the pupils who joined in with full hearts and voices.
