Lessons from Auschwitz

Lessons from Auschwitz

Before half term, we took part in The Lessons from Auschwitz Project 2020, organised by the Holocaust Education Trust, to mark the 75th anniversary of the end of World War II and the Holocaust. Our trip to Auschwitz was a heart breaking experience but also very educational and personal. We were able to learn about the genocide that took place which had a massive impact on millions of individuals - each individual carrying their own story. It is important that we remember not to generalise this tragedy or take it lightly. There are no words to describe the experiences and the feelings we had when we visited the camps but we are incredibly grateful for the opportunity. Jenna T and Eamon M, Lower Sixth.
