This week, Key Stage 2 were visited by Hayley from The Dogs Trust.
She came to teach us all about how to be safe around dogs, which is vital knowledge as there are around 12 million dogs in the UK, a number which has grown by two million since the first lockdown!
We learned that we cannot tell just by looking at a dog whether it is friendly and that each dog is an individual, just like us, and they have good days and bad days.
Hayley taught us never to bother a dog when it is eating or sleeping and that we must never go up to a dog we don’t know without asking permission from its owner first.
We also got to share lots of our own dog stories about all the wonderful dogs that the Junior children know and love
