Wednesday saw Year 4 bring their topic Pharaohs to life in our inaugural Innovation Day!
The day consisted of three immersive activities that built upon what the pupils have learned so far this term. These were making Egyptian flatbreads, creating an Egyptian headdress and even competing to complete a Pharaoh-themed escape room! Although the day brought rain, hail and gales to the outdoor fire activity, the weather never dampened the pupils’ spirits as they put their culinary skills to the test creating their Egyptian delicacies. Inside the classroom, pupils helped Howard Carter try to escape from the deepest, darkest tombs that lay underneath the great pyramids, whilst others got creative with sharpies to produce an artistic masterpiece.
Thank you to everyone involved and for making pupils looking pharaoh-nominal in their costumes, and a particular thanks to Mrs Poole, Mr Thomas and Miss John who really entered into the spirit of things themselves.
