Highlight of the Week

Act of Remembrance

In the cathedral today and in school at 11.00am, we remembered the armistice signed to bring an end to the First World War.

We kept silent to remember all those who have fought in wars, been injured or died in wars and to remember their families. We also thought of those who have been affected by wars around the world, those whose lives have been changed forever, those driven from their homes, and the very many civilian casualties of war.
