Battle of the Bands

The last day of term saw an electrifying Battle of the Bands competition, with pupils delivering six outstanding performances.

Dyfrig performed crowd-pleasers, Dancing in the Moonlight and Don’t Stop Me Now, featuring strong vocals and exceptional piano playing from Jason W. Euddogwy impressed with Piano Man and a high-energy rendition of Take Me Away saw Elizabeth B shine on both guitar and vocals. Teilo delivered a bold take on I Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor, followed by Take Me Out, where Olly P’s commanding vocals and stage presence stood out.

Well done to all of the performers. After much deliberation, returning judge Steven Rajam awarded Dyfrig the win, closing the night with a triumphant encore of Don’t Stop Me Now. This puts the current House points at:

• Dyfrig: 575 points
• Euddogwy: 525 points
• Teilo: 300 points

With nine House events remaining, the race for the House Cup is still wide open!
