Cafe Read a Latte

Pupils in Years 7 to 9 have been visiting our very own Café Read‑a‑Latte, a special book tasting experience designed to help students discover new genres and authors.

One of our English classrooms was transformed into a charming Parisian café, complete with themed décor and a selection of titles arranged by genre, including crime, thrillers, and historical fiction. Pupils browsed the 'menu' of books, sampled different texts, and reflected on which genres they might enjoy exploring further. To complete the café experience, they also enjoyed a cookie and some chocolate milk, creating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere to celebrate reading.
