Pupils swapped their school uniforms for green outfits today as the whole school took part in its second Eco Day of Action.
Raising awareness of the Cardiff-based charity, Size of Wales, which aims to protect an area of the tropical rainforest the size of Wales, the pupils raised £1348.62 for the charity through lots of fun and educational initiatives.
Rainforest activities were organised in the classroom, as well as rainforest picture and short story competitions, a green cake sale, animal face painting and a themed lunch. The Infants and Juniors also experienced ‘The Dark Hour', working by torch light for one lesson to emphasise the importance of saving energy.
