Highlight of the Week

"Be Joyful, Keep the Faith"

Last week the school turned green for the Eco Day of Action and today it was a sea of red as the children from all sections wore national dress to celebrate St David's Day.

Eisteddfodau were held for Juniors and Seniors, while the Infants were presented with their certificates, having taken part in their Eisteddfod earlier in the week.

The Junior event began with individual musical items, followed by drama performances and the announcement of prize winners in the various categories, including Science - write a report on an extinct Welsh species and English - write a poem entitled, ‘People of Wales'.  The event culminated in the naming of the Bard, Morgan S and the House Singing Competition, ‘Migildi Magildi'.  Despite intense competition, Coombes were named winning house!

We will have to wait until next week to find out the winners in the Senior event!
