Children's Mental Health Week

This week has been Children’s Mental Health Week and pupils and students between Year 3 and Year 13 have had the opportunity to complete our usual half termly well-being survey. 77% of Junior pupils responded and highlighted the kindness they have experienced from those around them and the opportunity to talk to a member of staff if they are worried as particularly beneficial for their wellbeing.
In the Senior Section, 307 pupils responded, again with very positive results, including an increase since last term in pupils getting eight hours of sleep or more, as well as finding more time to relax. They also identified the importance of friendships to their wellbeing and recognised the importance of taking time away from screens in the evening and at night. Thank you to everyone who participated.

On Thursday, Year 6 recognised this year’s theme - Express Yourself - as the children spent the afternoon dancing, singing, creating art, playing music, engaging in sports and expressing themselves in many other creative ways.
