The work of our talented Art and DT students has been enjoyed by the School and the wider community over the past week at the Creative Faculty Summer Show.
Transformed into an art gallery, the natural light in the new Memorial Hall was the perfect backdrop to showcase the outstanding work which included six Design and Technology pieces nominated for the 2017 Innovation Awards. This is a tremendous achievement, building on the School’s success at the awards last year.
The exhibition also proved popular with our younger pupils, who had enjoyed a visit from a specialist art consultant, Mrs Maureen Burgess, earlier in the year. Through exploring, investigating and observing, the children have developed a greater understanding of different art techniques and skills. All of the Infants have learnt to manipulate exciting new media to produce some exquisite pieces of artwork.
This week, we were invited to be part of The Cardiff Metropolitan Creative Exhibition 2017. Another fantastic opportunity for our pupils’ work to be celebrated.
