Highlight of the Week

Digging through History

This week classes 6H and 5W have had the opportunity to take part in the Llandaff Community Archaeological Dig, within the grounds of the 13th Century Bishop's Castle.

Led by our Archivist, Mrs Mumford, the pupils assisted in excavating the site, as well as handling artefacts. Mrs Holmes was very excited to uncover a piece of slate! In addition, pupils were also treated to some storytelling in the castle grounds. As you can see from the images below the pupils thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
