Estates Team Summer Update

As we begin the new academic year, we would like to extend our sincere thanks to the Estates Team for their hard work over the summer break. While pupils and staff enjoyed a well-earned rest, the team completed a wide range of projects across the school site. 

Highlights included the installation of air conditioning in the Memorial Hall and Sports Office, refurbishment of the Hulland Room, a new chess board on the Heads' Playground, and the repainting of numerous rooms. The team also managed the relocation of Design Technology and the Archivist to the pod, as well as the replacement of copiers throughout the school. 

Additional laptop charging points have been installed in the Library following pupil feedback, demonstrating our commitment to listening to pupil voice and continually improving the school environment. 

Work has also progressed on the new DT laboratory, while improvements to the car park and new perimeter fencing will further enhance the site. The fencing represents an important investment in safeguarding, helping to provide a safe and secure environment for the whole school community. Meanwhile, the playing fields have been expertly prepared for the sporting season ahead. 

These improvements make a real difference to daily school life, and we are extremely grateful to the Estates Team for their dedication and professionalism in keeping The Cathedral School at its very best.
