Fairy Tales in the Forest!
Last Friday, parents of Year 1 children were treated to a performance of two well known fairy tales in the very botanical setting of the DS filled with beautiful trees.
1S told the story of The Three Little Pigs with a fearsome wolf, played by a terrifying Finnan A, who was soundly outwitted by the (rather adorable) little pigs played by Arlo B, Elis AD and Reuben M. Their very sensible mother Mrs Pig, who had wisely decided that it was time for them to find their own homes, was sweetly played by Bonnie H.
1J performed The Three Billy Goats Gruff. There were three very cute little goats played by Loic DR, Millie HN and Jun CT who braved everything to get at the lovely green grass over the bridge. They quickly got the better of the greedy troll, expressively played by Phoenix RM, and sent her floating down the river.
It was so lovely to see such confident performances from all the children on Friday. It was clear that they thoroughly enjoyed entertaining the audience with their songs, dances and stories. A thoroughly delightful afternoon was had by all!
