The 1st XI girls put in an excellent performance in the U18 Regional School Finals. They started strong against a competitive Monmouth side with Mali C and Sylvie M working relentlessly in the midfield. CSL took the lead with a goal from Ella G who worked well with Megan J on the right side of the pitch. Unfortunately, Monmouth grabbed a goal in towards the end, leaving the score line 1-1. The girls went into their next game against Bryntirion with confidence and energy. They worked together to go into half-time with a comfortable lead at halftime and with relentless pressure from Elisabeth J and Holly R the girls secured a great win! The last game of the day was against Llandovery College. Even though the girls were tired they used all they had and played as a team to try and win. Iona R and Emma N made some crucial tackles and clearances to keep the ball in Llandovery’s half. With CSL having most of the possession they managed to find the back of the net and they came away with a 1-0 victory. Well played all and good luck in the National semi-finals!
