On Wednesday, the Primary Choirs’ Lunchtime Concert took place in the Cathedral and what a wonderful occasion it was.
We heard such beautiful singing from all of the choirs in such a magnificent venue. They entertained in a variety of genres and performed with character and enthusiasm. From our smiling Year 2s who began with a jazzy tale of a little whale, leading on to our Junior Girls’ Choir who gave a punchy performance of a folk song from Disney’s Brave, supported wonderfully by Alys W on the guitar. The Junior Boys’ Choir delighted us with their polished programme including a beautiful rendition of Cockles and Mussels and Cantemus concluded the concert with style and humour as they sang from the Ascot races. What an enjoyable way to spend a lunchtime!
