Reading Picnic

As part of our Page-by-Page reading initiative, Year 6 and Year 1 pupils came together for a relaxed Reading Picnic in the leafy surrounds of Forest School and the Quiet Village.

Bathed in sunshine and accompanied by a comforting cup of hot chocolate, pupils settled into shaded spots to enjoy books together. Our older readers read aloud to their younger buddies, sharing favourite stories and discovering new ones in the fresh air.

Page-by-Page seeks to ignite a lifelong love of reading in every child. By creating opportunities like this for pupils to connect through books, we help foster a culture of curiosity, confidence and shared learning across the school.
