Success at the Woodard Schools Musician of the Year 2014

Congratulations to James B, Daniel W and Nadia VdG on competing in the Woodard Musician of the Year Final, held in St John's, Smith Square, London on Sunday.

This is the second year running that CSL has progressed to the Finals, last year achieving both Runners-Up prizes in the Junior section of the competition. There was general agreement that the overall standard of performance seemed to be even higher this year, bringing great competitive excitement to the concert, and leaving the audience quite awestruck by the musical virtuosity exhibited.

After an intense concert, lasting almost three hours in total, we were thrilled when Nadia was awarded Runner Up in the Senior section (beating many pupils significantly older than herself); whilst James went even further, to be crowned Woodard Junior Musician of the Year, winning the Junior section of the competition outright!
