Nursery and Infant Open Morning
Wednesday 13 May 2026
This week, our Year 6 Leadership Club has demonstrated exceptional initiative, creativity and teamwork through the organisation of their wonderful Italian Pop-Up Restaurant.
Working together since January, the pupils have taken full ownership of the project, carefully planning every aspect of the event. Dividing themselves into smaller teams focusing on logistics, catering, finance and marketing, they have developed a wide range of new skills while collaborating closely with members of staff across the School. From designing menus and managing budgets to promoting the event and coordinating the evening itself, the pupils embraced each challenge with enthusiasm and maturity.
The result was a hugely enjoyable and successful evening, generously supported by the school community. Not only did the event showcase the pupils’ hard work and attention to detail, but it also raised over £700 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
This initiative perfectly captures one of the core elements of the school’s ethos: leadership. The pupils have shown what it means to lead with responsibility, creativity and a strong sense of purpose, bringing their ideas to life in a meaningful and impactful way.
The pupils involved were supported greatly by the generosity and expertise of our catering staff and Lodestone House, who not only supported pupils with food prep and in the kitchen, but also donated all the ingredients, which enabled them to maximise the money raised for charity.
We are incredibly proud of all the pupils involved and the commitment they have shown throughout the process. Their efforts have left a lasting impression and set a high standard for future leadership initiatives.
