Year 6 Theatre Trip

As their Class Reader, Year 6 have been enjoying reading The Boy at the Back of the Class by Onjali Q. Raúf, exploring its themes of displacement, friendship, kindness, and empathy.
On Thursday, we surprised the pupils with a trip to the New Theatre to watch a stage production of the book. The children were excited and engaged as the story was brought to life as a lively performance. It was fantastic to see them recognise key moments from the text and connect their reading to the production.
Overall, it was a memorable experience that enriched their understanding of the story and its important messages.
