After almost 20 years of outstanding service, we bid a fond farewell to our Bursar, Robert Leek, who is retiring at the end of this term.
Robert has given both his expertise and his wisdom so generously to the School, in so many different ways. He became Bursar in November 2006 when CSL had just expanded up to GCSE and, over the last 20 years, he has been pivotal in moving the School from strength to strength.
Perhaps we see this most tangibly in the buildings. The development of the Pavilion on Bishop’s Field, the Lodge, the Sixth Form Centre, the Woodard Building, the Memorial Hall, the Athletic Development Centre and the cricket nets. All of these have only been possible because of Robert’s careful stewardship of the School’s resources.
Robert’s guiding principle has always been the long-term security and strength of the School and generations of children, both past and future, have cause to be grateful to him.
We extend our deepest thanks to Robert for his many years at CSL and wish him and his wife Daphne a long and happy retirement.
