Celebrating Our New Year 6 Pupil Leaders

Celebrating Our New Year 6 Pupil Leaders

This week we are celebrating the appointment of our new Year 6 Pupil Leaders. These roles provide our pupils with a wonderful opportunity to grow in confidence, take responsibility and develop a genuine sense of service to others.

Our Year 6 pupils were invited to put themselves forward for a leadership role by submitting an application explaining why they felt they would be a good candidate and how they would approach the responsibilities of the roles. We were delighted by the thoughtfulness, enthusiasm and maturity shown in their applications.

Our pupils have taken on a variety of leadership roles, including Primary Head Girl and Boy, House Captains, Prefects, School Council Leaders, DIRECT representatives, Play Leaders and Eco Representatives.

Throughout our School, we believe that leadership is not simply about having a title. It is about recognising and using our individual strengths, working collaboratively, and finding ways to support, encourage and inspire others. Our new leaders will have many opportunities to put this into practice, from mentoring younger pupils and helping to organise events, to representing pupil voice, promoting wellbeing and inclusion, supporting play and environmental initiatives, and being positive role models both in and out of the classroom.

We are very proud of all our Year 6 pupils who have had the confidence to put themselves forward and congratulate those who have taken on these important responsibilities. We look forward to seeing them grow as leaders and make a positive contribution to the life of our School and the wider community.

We wish all our new pupil leaders every success as they begin their roles, and we look forward to hearing about the difference they make throughout the year.
