In beautiful, sunny conditions, MCC opted to bat first on a wicket that was offering a lot to the bowlers. CSL started brightly, with their bowlers creating lots of pressure and making runs hard to come by. They were eventually rewarded for their hard work with a flurry of quick wickets. The pressure continued to build but some big hitting from the MCC lower order allowed them to post a competitive total of 196. In response, CSL batted sensibly and were always up with the required rate to win. However, some wickets at crucial times saw MCC slow the scoring rate and eventually bowl CSL out for 152. On reflection, the game was a great experience for the boys to learn how to chase down a total. A great day was had by all and many thanks to our groundsman, Tim, who did a wonderful job of producing a great wicket. Congratulations to Avaneesh S who was awared Player of the Match.
