CSL's Got Talent

CSL's Got Talent

CSL’s Got Talent once again delivered an eclectic and entertaining showcase of our pupils’ (and staff’s!) many talents.

From magic tricks and musical solos to comedic sketches and energetic whole-class performances, the afternoon had it all. Opening the show can be daunting, but Isaac B and Tasker E kicked things off brilliantly with an impressive taekwondo display that set the tone for what was to come. Abdullah S K followed with a beautiful guitar solo, while Timea T-T entertained the audience with a card trick (that didn't quite go to plan). Hadi A raised the bar with a dynamic drum solo that earned Amazing and Awesome placards from our guest judges, Mrs Manning and Miss Yard.

There were plenty of laughs too, thanks to Sam W, Elis C and Bea M’s improv routine, before the newly formed Staff Choir, joined by some some Sixth Formers, treated everyone to a wonderful song from The Greatest Showman. Benzhe Y impressed on keyboard, and Georgia B gave a courageous rendition of Fly Me to the Moon that earned a huge cheer. Year 7 classes got involved too, with 7T’s comedy sketch about a lesson gone wrong and 7E’s catchy APT. routine getting everyone bopping along. A highlight was the band from 9T, whose rousing performance of Bastille’s Pompeii scored perfect tens from the judges. As tradition dictates, the show closed with another memorable staff performance that certainly engaged the crowd! A huge well done to everyone who took part.
