Exploring Valencia

36 pupils from Year 8 travelled to Valencia on the East coast of Spain over the May Bank Holiday.

We were able to see the contrast between the historical centre of town as well as the very newly developed Science City and Oceanografic which have been built in the old dried-up riverbed. We covered the town on foot doing over 64,000 steps in three days.

We were lucky enough to experience Mascletas (from a distance) which usually forms part of Valencia's world famous Fallas festival as well as visiting the Fallas museum which houses some incredible artistry from the festivals stretching back in history.

Pupils were very keen to try out their Spanish which was very well received by the locals.

Well done to all of the pupils for their exemplary behaviour.
