Gold DofE particpants presented at St James' Palace

This week Mrs Dinsmore, Duke of Edinburgh's Award Co-ordinator, was delighted to visit St James' Palace with three of the seven students who completed the Gold Award earlier this year.

Emily, Archie and Waleed were greeted by HRH the Earl of Wessex in the Throne Room, along with other participants from Wales and presented with their certificates by Andrea Byrne, one of the presenters on ITN.

Emily said: “Undertaking any DofE award gives you the opportunity to learn so much about yourself and what you can achieve when you challenge yourself to leave your comfort zone. It gives you the chance to do things you would never dream of trying without the support you get from the organisation and the leaders.

”We all really enjoyed the presentation ceremony and it's definitely something to look forward to for anyone who perseveres and completes the Gold Award."
