Gould Cup and Willis Plate

In dry conditions and with the sun shining down on Bishop’s Field the 2022 running of the Gould Cup & Willis Plate showed pupils and students demonstrating camaraderie and resilience along with physical and mental fortitude.

This long-standing traditional event was made even better with the return of parents and family to support on-site. It was great to also see pupils supporting each other all the way around the course with an encouraging word or an arm around the shoulder.

The event had history made when Bryony B (Year 7) broke the course record in a time of 19.56 along with being the first female pupil ever to be the overall race winner. Sam B (Year 9) won the Gould Cup in a superb time of 20.32.
