House Tug of War

07 May 2025
House Tug of War

This year’s House Tug of War was a brilliant display of strength, teamwork and House spirit, with Father Gareth on hand to bless the rope and wish participants a safe and enjoyable competition.

Mr Barrington officiated the contest, which began with the Year 7–9 round. Dyfrig made an excellent start, winning both their matches 2-0 to take an early lead. The final match in this age group was a closely fought battle between Euddogwy and Teilo, with Teilo emerging victorious after a thrilling 2-1 win.

In the Year 10–13 contest, Teilo delivered a dominant performance, showcasing both power and coordination. Led by Sion J on anchor, they overcame both Dyfrig and Euddogwy to take the senior win. Dyfrig, despite a strong start earlier in the afternoon, slipped to second place overall, with Euddogwy close behind.

An exuberant crowd cheered on the competitors throughout, and with Teilo now celebrating back-to-back House event wins, the race for the House Cup remains very much alive.

Current House points:

  • Dyfrig: 850 points
  • Euddogwy: 925 points
  • Teilo: 675 points
