International Women's Day

International Women's Day

Pupils across the School embraced International Women’s Day with activities that encouraged reflection, research and celebration.

The day began with our Cathedral services, where several pupils delivered readings and reflections on the significance of the occasion.

Following this, Primary pupils explored the impact of inspirational women. KS1 learned about influential women and created short written pieces, now displayed in school as a tribute to their achievements. In KS2, the children researched and delivered speeches on women who have shaped history.

In the Senior section, Year 7 to 9 pupils were invited to join a 2km fun run through Llandaff Fields, receiving a choice of IWD merchandise at the finish line. At breaktime, stalls run by pupils and Mrs Carroll provided further resources and activities, reinforcing this year's theme: Accelerate Action.
