Sensational Soloists

Sensational Soloists

Junior pupils delighted their audience with a fabulous evening of music on Tuesday – some, performing for the very first time!

The evening began with a confident performance on the electric guitar by Abdullah S, playing Shawn Mendes’ Treat You Better with style. Rocking the Drama Studio, Sophie L followed with her energetic performance of The Rolling Stones Paint it Black on the drum kit. Throughout the evening, we had a wonderful range of instrumental timbre, including superb performances on the clarinet, tenoroon, flute, marimba and cello, which took us on a musical journey from classical to film classics!

Much talent was displayed with all our young pianists. From the jazz harmonies, Christmas melodies, to the beautiful and tranquil sounds of Mendelssohn’s Venetiansches Gondellied or the intricate writing of Bach’s Partita, there was so much to be enjoyed. We had beautiful vocal contributions to our programme beginning with Faith R’s rendition of Castle on a Cloud, a cowboy song from Dylan H to the wonderful melodic writing of Novello, Fly Home, Little Heart sung by Molly D and our choristers, Henry M and William S, who sang Lole’s The Father’s Love, all demonstrating much, poise, confidence and stage presence.

What a thoroughly enjoyable evening of music! A big well done to all our talented pupils and a big thank you to parents and families for all your support!
