Year 7 Bonding Weekend Brings House Spirit to Life

Our new Year 7 pupils enjoyed a highly successful Bonding Weekend, with 67 pupils joining the event. For the first time, the weekend was held on site, combining team-building activities on Friday with a range of outdoor challenges on Saturday designed to develop teamwork, problem-solving and self-reflection.  

Despite some wet weather on Saturday morning, pupils embraced every challenge with enthusiasm, determination and plenty of smiles.

Holding the event at school also allowed the launch of a brand-new Year 7 House Bonding Competition, providing an exciting first opportunity for pupils to earn points towards the House Cup. After six quick-fire challenges, Teilo emerged victorious, with Euddogwy and Dyfrig close behind. 

The weekend concluded with a garden party-style barbecue attended by pupils and parents, where participation certificates were presented and special awards recognised outstanding contributions. Congratulations to Flynn T (7T), who achieved the highest overall score across the House Bonding Activities.
