On Monday, 22nd September, the Infants and Juniors held an assembly in the Sports Hall. After prayers , a hymn and a Bible reading, a representative of the Noah's Ark Charity was presented with a cheque for just over £3,600 by the Junior Section Head Boy and Girl, on behalf of all the Nursery, Infant and Junior pupils. This marvellous sum was raised last Summer when all pupils in this section of the school, took part In various cycling activities. Even the teachers took part! It was a wonderful occasion, thoroughly enjoyed by all and even the weather was kind! We are all delighted with the hard work of the children who managed to raise such a considerable sum of money for disadvantaged children. This assembly clearly showed what privileged lives we lead , in which we are of healthy body, mind and spirit.
More assemblies are planned this year when the Nursery, Infant and Juniors can take part together. The School is committed to supporting various charities during the year and a ‘big event' involving the pupils in this are of the school will again be organised in Summer 2009.
