A Busy Week of Learning in Year 1

Year 1 pupils have enjoyed a wonderful start to the term, exploring a wide range of activities across the curriculum. Inspired by the story Oliver's Fruit Salad, the children worked on retelling the story using a story map and identified its three main parts before creating beautiful fruit drawings using pastels and even tasting a variety of fruits for themselves.

In Mathematics, the children have been practising counting forwards and backwards to 10, making 10 using ten frames and counters, and using Numicon to recognise 10 and one more.

The pupils have also been developing their digital skills in Computing by learning how to log on to Purple Mash independently. It has been a fantastic week filled with learning, creativity and new experiences.
