We were delighted to welcome our Year 7 pupils and their parents to an informal gathering in our Drama Studio this week, an evening led, in many ways, by the pupils themselves.

 

Rather than simply attending alongside their families, Year 7 pupils took the lead in introducing their parents to their new teachers, guiding conversations and sharing their own experiences of settling into life at CSL, whether they joined us from our Primary Section or from other schools. It was a lovely opportunity to see pupils take ownership of the evening: making introductions, answering questions with confidence, and showing real pride in their new school community. These are exactly the kinds of skills, confidence, communication, and initiative,  that we hope to nurture throughout their time here.

 

It was wonderful to see parents and pupils connecting, sharing experiences, and celebrating the start of an exciting new chapter, with pupils very much at the centre of that process.
