To be awarded this grade, pupils needed to have scored at least 90% in an exam that stretched not only their ability to successfully read ancient Greek script, but also to understand its vocabulary and grammar, and to successfully translate from it.

 

Congratulations to Max C-T, Libby B and Amog M B - these are very impressive accomplishments to have made, especially as all the work they did in preparation for their final assessment was done as part of an after-school activity.

 

Very few schools throughout not just Wales, but also the UK, offer ancient Greek to their pupils - if anyone is interested in learning this fascinating language, then come along to W4 after school on a Tuesday, and join Mr Drury and his new class of ancient Greek enthusiasts.
