Highlight of the Week

Art Inspiration

The Infants have thoroughly enjoyed working with visiting artist Christian Ryan this week to create a stained glass piece of artwork to hang in The Lodge, commemorating their move to the wonderful building.

Inspired by nature, the theme of the piece is based around growth and the idea of the children blossoming and flourishing during their first years here.

The Memorial Hall was set up as the studio for the week with hands on workshops, where the children used collage techniques to create shapes and added detail with charcoal, chalk and graphite, resulting in some very inspiring ideas for Christian to work with.
