Discovery Day
(Year 7 entry 2026 only)
Thursday 5 June 2025
Pupils, parents and staff celebrated a year of incredible sporting achievement at the Senior Sports Dinner, raising nearly £1,000 for 2Wish.
The evening recognised not only the collective success of CSL’s sports teams but also the dedication and discipline shown by individuals throughout the year.
A particularly meaningful moment was the return of Old Llandavians, Holly Monroe (OL, 2015-2024) and Aden Bello (OL, 2017-2024), recipients of last year’s memorial awards, who came back to present this year’s deserving winners, Emma W and Lucas G. This was a reminder of the lasting connections forged through sport at CSL, and their words of encouragement offered inspiration to current pupils.
The highlight of the evening was our inspirational guest speaker, former Welsh rugby player Rhys Priestland. Drawing on his own experience, Rhys encouraged pupils to “be the best version of themselves” and spoke of the importance of “controlling the controllables”- focusing on attitude, preparation and resilience, no matter the outcome on the field. Reflecting on leadership, he also reinforced the value of teamwork and respect.
A huge thank you to everyone for generously supporting the event and to our pupils who continue to inspire with their commitment and passion.
