Choral Scholars sing carols with 700 RCT primary pupils

This week we welcomed over 700 children from the Rhondda Cynon Taff area to Llandaff Cathedral, where they gave two performances of Christmas music. The Choral Scholars provided the descants and lent the children their support.

They were conducted by the Deputy Director of the Authority, Sian Jenkins, and the children rose to the challenge of singing in the Cathedral splendidly. 

As Mrs Jenkins wrote: "the expectation of performing at such a magnificent venue raised the standard of their performance. The anticipation and excitement in the schools during the rehearsals was infectious ... The whole occasion is something our children and their parents will never forget ... and long may the tradition of starting the celebration of Christmas at the Cathedral remain." We hope so too.
