Commissioning of the Prefects

Earlier this week, we celebrated the Dedication Service of the new School Prefects in the School Chapel. At the service, the Prefects made the following commitment: “We pledge to be true to the values and principles of the Cathedral School in all that we do. We aim to lead, not for our own recognition and glory, but as servants of all. We ask each member of our community to accept our service, as a step towards making our world a better place.”

The Prefects also enjoye their team bonding day, later on in the week, at Treowen Manor House, accompanied by Mrs Sherwood, Mrs Ellis-Owen and Mr Moon. The day involved a host of teamwork and leadership activities, including a session with Vince Sanderson from Restorative Solutions who helped the team consider the actions they could take to create a safe and welcoming community within our school. The Prefects were extremely appreciative to the teachers for organising such an fulfilling day and helping to strengthen their bonds as the Senior 10.
