Our Primary pupils have continued to consider what it means to be a School of Sanctuary, completing their four-week Taith Adfent project.
Focusing on welcoming people, in particular those who seek refuge, the pupils have undertaken a range of activities including writing prayers to say thank you for the things in their lives they are grateful for, sketching thought provoking artwork to express the difficult journey of a refugee and having inspirational discussions around feeling safe and being part of a new community.
The Cathedral School became a School of Sanctuary last July, the first independent school in the UK to join the national network of schools committed to creating a culture of welcome and inclusion for refugees and those seeking asylum.
