In Nursery, the pupils have been busy creating crafts with a Chinese New Year theme, from lanterns for the festival to fantastic fireworks, everyone joined in to experience the celebrations.
Thank you so much to Alexander W, Nathan W, Jiaze Q and their mums for helping Reception learn all about Chinese New Year. They heard a story about the animals of the zodiac having a race, and how their finishing positions dictated the lunar calendar. They learned that this Chinese New Year marks year of the rabbit and found that they were mostly born in year of the dog or year of the rooster. Experiencing counting and writing numbers to ten in Chinese as well as singing a Chinese number rap was great fun.
Yesterday we were treated to a delicious Chinese New Year themed lunch thanks to our fantastic catering team, Chartwells.
