Last weekend, CSL's new Year 7 pupils attended a residential ‘Bonding Weekend’ in mid-Wales.
Equipped with their sleeping bags and numerous changes of clothing, they enthusiastically engaged in activities that ranged from abseiling to archery, raft-building to zip-wire flying, stand-up-paddle-boarding to survival skills.
Their willingness to get involved helped to dispel any thoughts and feelings of nervousness and anxiety at starting a new senior school and proved to be the best of icebreakers for all of those joining CSL from other primary schools.
The weather was kind, the instructing-staff were supportive and encouraging and even some of our own teachers joined the pupils in a number of the activities. The perfect start to a new academic year!
