Interact Support for Ty Hafan

Interact Support for Ty Hafan

Our Sixth Form Interact team has shown its continued support for their chosen charity of the year, Tŷ Hafan, through both fundraising and a visit to the hospice.

Set against the peaceful Sully coast, the hospice grounds offered a glimpse into the calm, caring environment created for children and families. They toured the beautiful gardens, activity areas and bespoke rooms, and had the chance to meet the dedicated staff who work tirelessly to provide comfort and joy in difficult times. They also paid our respects at the memorial for all of the children who had been patients at the site. The visit left a lasting impact on them all and reaffirmed why supporting Tŷ Hafan is such an important cause.

Later in the week, they hosted a charity event inspired by the classic 80s game show Bullseye, bringing together knowledge and dart-throwing skills for a fun-filled evening. Teams, made up of a ‘knower’ and a ‘thrower’, competed across three rounds; racking up points, answering general knowledge questions and winning prizes. Thanks to everyone’s enthusiastic participation (and surprisingly impressive dart skills), the team raised over £750.

Here are some of the questions from the night. How many can you answer?

  1. What is the capital of Canada?
  2. How many oceans are there on Earth?
  3. What is the largest island on Earth?
  4. Which cartoon character recently announced that they are expecting a new child?
  5. What US company has lost 50% of its value in the last 3 months?
  6. How many seats did Labour win in the 2024 General Election?
