This week pupils from Year 3 to 11 took part in the traditional Gould Cup and Willis Plate cross country event, with the top runners competing in the inaugural Castle Run.
Following feedback from our keenest runners that the traditional course had more in common with a middle distance race than a true cross country run, the Castle Run was introduced.
Each house selected a team of their ten top runners, including at least three girls, who had to run from school to Cardiff Castle and back along a marshalled route. The whole run was over in 45 minutes, which is testament to the commitment and effort of all those who participated and it was wonderful to see everyone cheering each other on.
