Remembering Mr Patterson

It was wonderful to welcome so many members of the CSL community to the memorial football match for our much-loved colleague, Mr Nic Patterson. The CSL 1st XI and OL teams played a competitive match ending in a 5-2 win for the 1st XI. CSL started brightly with Dylan D slotting home past the Old Llandavian keeper after five minutes, only for it to be adjudged to be offside. It was Head of School, Aden B, who finally broke the deadlock with a powerful header from a pinpoint Jack S corner. After a penalty miss from OL Finn Hill (2015-2022), the masterful Sam M added a superb second goal from long range before Finn curled in a shot to make it 2-1 at the break. The second half was typified by a commanding performance from midfield destroyer Ansh A, a wizardry goal from Will H who turned creator for the rapid Rhydian B, a well-placed finish for OL Harry L (2008-2021), and Jack S who went on a mazy run before adding a fifth. Zac G was proud of his players who put on a display of which Mr Patterson would have been proud. Thank you to Mr Barrington for organising the fixture. Thank you to everyone who played or came to show support, helping us to remember Mr Patterson, whose dedication to his pupils, his House and the School were deep and heartfelt.
