Remembrance Day

On Thursday, we marked Armistice Day with services throughout the School where our young people and our school once again pledged ourselves to the service of humankind.

Remembering those who have fallen in the service of their country during war time, Old Llandavians and our school were represented in the service on the Cathedral Green, organised by the Llandaff Society.

Our youngest pupils visited the Green in the afternoon to lay the wreath of poppies that they had made. Year 5 and 6 pupils created a wonderful rainbow of poppies to send to Cartref Care Home, whose Remembrance theme this year is Somewhere Over the Rainbow. 

They made a lovely video of them making the rainbow which is accompanied by our Junior Pod Singers’ beautiful performance of Over the Rainbow from the Junior Summer Ensembles Concert in June. If you’d like to watch it, click here.
